China supports TikTok’s fight against the US

China supports ByteDance in its fight against US authorities. This was told by the official representative of the country’s Foreign Ministry Zhao Lijian, quoted by TASS.
“We believe that they should protect their legitimate interests with the help of“ legal weapons, ”he said. The Foreign Ministry spokesman added that Beijing will take all necessary measures to provide “strong support” to Chinese companies. He described Washington’s actions as attacks, noting that the American authorities resort to slander and outright lies, putting pressure on business.
On August 23, it became known that Bytedance, the owner of the TikTok app, will sue the administration of the American president.
This was a response to the measures of the American government: on August 6, US leader Donald Trump signed two executive orders prohibiting any transactions with the owner of the application, ByteDance, and with the owner of the WeChat social network, Tencent. Both projects are developed by Chinese corporations. Washington believes that each of the applications “threatens US national security, foreign policy and economy.”
