Former undisputed world boxing champion Marvin Hagler dies

American boxer Marvin Hagler died in New Hampshire, his wife Kay Hagler said. He was 66 years old. In 1980-1987 he was the undisputed world champion in middleweight boxing.

“Unfortunately, my husband Marvin Hagler died unexpectedly at his home in New Hampshire,” Ms Hagler said in a statement on the boxer’s official fan club Facebook page.

Marvin Hagler has had 67 career fights. He has 62 wins (52 knockouts), three defeats and two draws. In 1987, he retired after losing to Sugar Ray Leonard. This fight is the third best-selling boxing fight in history.
